Newborn photography

Documenting the first few weeks of life, as a welcome gift for your baby

Those precious, unique newborn features aren’t gonna last forever. You know in a few weeks, your tiny baby will look so much different. I know you probably feel like sleep, a shower and a real meal are the only things you need right now, but think of your future self: when all that newborn goodness is gone, you will wish you had captured it all. Don’t miss out on a beautiful, heartfelt documentary of your first steps on this journey.

You’re exhausted, I feel you. You might even think you look like a mess. You don’t. This is motherhood, it’s incredible! Can you believe you just made a human being ? I mean, how freaking awsome is that? You’ve made it. Now your life is so different, but I promise it’s gonna be so good. That little thing is your world now, and you are his. That’s worth documenting: the bonds between you, the drowsy smiles when they are milk drunk, the big yawns.

Intimate sessions that won’t exhaust you

You don’t have to do anything, promise. Just put on anything you got laying around and that’s it! Let go of what you think perfection is. Right now, perfection is that newborn smell. It’s the warmth of your baby’s body when you hold her. It’s the moment he finally falls asleep after you soothe him, and you gaze at him, and you feel peace.

Newborn sessions are held in your home, at a slow pace, following your baby’s routine. It’s quiet and joyful, like a retreat where only you and your newborn matter. I always take the time to document any detail of your caring routine, and get close ups of the tiny features. You don’t have to clean or put on makeup: you are enough, mama.

The perfect amount of time

My newborn and family photography sessions are 1.5 hour. That’s perfect to capture everything important and take all the time we need for your baby to feel comfortable and peaceful. If you newborn cries, is hungry or needs a change, it’s alright. You take care of him, make yourself a cup of tea and slow down.

Life right now can feel like total chaos, I know (I’ve been there, and I remember vividly!). But your session doesn’t have to be: enjoy the moment, connect with your baby, breathe.
