After years of snapping families and being a mom of three myself, I know just how to make kids want to join in on the fun without ever making them feel pushed or forced. Before the session, we chat about your kids’ personalities and what makes them tick. Then, on the day, I offer up games and activities that are just their cup of tea, and that always sparks their curiosity and excitement to get involved.
During my family photo sessions, kids are never made to pose or perform. Gentle suggestions, like reading a story or giving a sibling a hug, are always optional; if they don’t fancy it, we just move on to something else. That way, we show them that we respect their boundaries and that’s where the magic happens.

How do you handle babies or toddlers taking naps or having meltdowns?
Here’s how I handle it when things get a bit messy or your little one needs a snooze. I plan the session for a time that works best for your kid, taking into account nap times, mealtimes and energy levels so they’re feeling their absolute best.
If your wee one needs a snack or a feed, we just take a break, no rush at all. And if they get upset, or catch a nap on the sly, it’s all totally normal. You get to just do your parenting thing, and these moments are what make some of the best photos. Your child will love looking back on them when they grow up.

Do we need to prepare anything in advance?
Honestly, the less you stress about it the better! I’ll have a chat with you beforehand to get to know your child’s little personality and what they’re into. On the day, I bring along some fun ideas for games and prompts that’ll just fit your family’s vibe, so you can all just relax and have a good time. We’ll let your kid pick their fave book if we’re at home, or choose the path they want to explore if we’re out and about.
