It goes very well, I promise you. My photography sessions are stress-free, laid back and everyone has a good time.
We make plans you will love, no big change in your daily habits.
For exemple, you can bake a cake, read a story, build Legos. And then you can also do the everyday stuff that is just as cool : breastfeed, have a chat, tell jokes, warm up a bottle, raid the fridge for a snack or go on a walk around the block.
This is you being you, because you are perfect so that’s all you will need to be for your photoshoot (and we can talk about how exhausted we are because I am a mama, too.)

No fancy stuff is required, because you need to look at your photos and say “this is us!”

See? Easy peasy.

Just tell them you love them so much you asked a friend, Aurélie, to come and take photos of them to keep close to your heart.

I will not ask your kids to behave and stand still. During a family photo session with me, children get to be themselves. They can laugh, run, jump, cry, scream. This is childhood, it’s messy and loud and it’s beautiful.
I welcome any grumpy little rascal who insisted on not napping, any funny face and fart joke. Here is a little guide with more tips.

Don’t pressure yourself and aim for everything to be perfect. It’s ok if the clothes aren’t pressed, and your photographs can tolerate a little mess, I promise.

If anything stands in the way, like a plastic bottle, I will just move it. Do as usual, this is your life, your family album needs to reflect that. Kids will want to remember all of it, and believe me, so will you.

This is life’s beautiful chaos and you will love your photos.

Exactly like you usually do! Come as you are. You need to recognize yourself in the pictures, and in twenty year’s time we can’t have you wonder why on earth you were wearing that, can we ?

This is a documentary family photo session, it has to feel authentic. I will provide you with a styling preparation guide if you need any help, but really it’s only a guideline and at the end of the day, it’s important you feel comfortable, so you do you. You can read my guide about what to wear if you want to know more.

Documentary photography captures the realness of family life in a way no posed photo can. It’s all about preserving the beautiful, messy, meaningful in-between moments that we often overlook.
With documentary family shoots, you can relax and be yourself, and you get images that feel honest and that you can relate to (now, and in twenty years). You can read more about celebrating the everyday or why I chose to become a documentary family photographer.

Session fee is €250 for one and a half hour family and newborn sessions and does not include any digitals or products. Collections start at €350 and include a number of digital photographs as well as a print credit so you can hold your photos in your hands and decorate your walls.
Day in the life sessions start at €1500.

Get in touch and I will happily send you details about my photography session pricing.
