5 common misconceptions about family sessions

1 – “We’ll have to buy outfits just for the occasion.”

If you really want to, then by all means go ahead, but it’s not necessary at all. It’s best to wear your everyday outfits. Here is a guide with a few tips on how to dress for a photo session.

2 – “My home is too small and not nice enough.”

It’s your home! And your kids love it; they’ll have fond and nostalgic memories of it. It’s the place where they grow up and feel loved—your home deserves to be remembered!

3 – “I don’t look good in photos.”

I promise you that’s not a thing! What makes people look awkward in photos is unnatural, stiff posing. With a family documentary photo session, it won’t happen, and you’ll all look amazing.

4 – “I already take photos with my phone, I don’t really need a professional photo session.”

So do I! I use my phone to snap pictures quite often too because I have it handy. But during a professional family photoshoot, you don’t have to worry about doing anything, I take care of it.
